I am a college student. I am majoring in criminal justice. In some of my classes, I have to write research papers on specific subjects. When trying to come up with a topic, I research subjects to see how much information I will be able to come up with. If I can easily access a lot of material, I will choose that particular topic. If I cannot find a lot of useful information, I choose something different to write about. When the professor is explaining an upcoming paper, he always tells us to pick a topic and Google it to see how much information we can find. I have always done this, so his advice was not news to me. Some students found the advice very helpful, as they never learned how to properly research a topic before.
